Designed in 1942 320 SU76 SPG were made, then production was halted to improve design, which then became the famed SU76M, of which there were about 14000 built from 1943 until the end of 1945. The SU76 was manufactured in 5 basic forms, OSU-76 - Experimental model based on T-60 tank chassis, SU-76 - Based on lengthened T-70 tank chassis, SU-76M - main production model, SU-76B - with completely enclosed armoured crew compartment, ZSU-37 - Self-propelled anti-aircraft gun. As there were many SU76 manufactured, many are preserved, in Museums Worldwide.
